ABOUT
Paws at Your Door is a mobile dog grooming service that has been pulling into St. Louis driveways for decades. Today it is owned and run by Sydney Schaefer, a professional groomer who keeps the schedule small, the van quiet, and every dog treated like her own.
Paws at Your Door was built by Barbara, one dog and one driveway at a time, long before mobile grooming was something you could search for. In 2025 Sydney took over the business after years grooming at salons around St. Louis, and brought with her one belief she kept running into: dogs do better when grooming is calm, unhurried, and close to home.
That is exactly what the van makes possible. No car ride, no waiting room full of barking strangers, no crate. Your dog walks a few steps from the front door into a fully equipped grooming space, and it is just the two of them. Nervous first timer, grumpy senior, or a doodle who thinks the brush is a toy, they all get the same thing: Sydney's full attention and all the time they need.
